Please bare in mind these images were taken with a digital camera only capable of producing a 500 KB Jpg picture.

The look out points at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon

When taking photos at an altitude at or over 6000 feet you should use a "UV" filter to take out the bluish cast that the Ultra produces.
As you can see I did not because they do not make on one for this inexpensive camera.

Maracopa Point

Maracopa Point is the first view point on the closed part of the west rim points.
There 2 electric gates blocking off the road to this drive,
only the free shuttle buses, tour buses, and cars with handi-capped special permits are allowed.
The special handi capped permits are obtainable from the park office or as you enter the park.

This the road you will driving down to enter the gated part of the west rim drive.
