The look out points at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon

When taking photos at an altitude at or over 6000 feet you should use a "UV" filter to take out the bluish cast that the Ultra produces.
As you can see I did not because they do not make on one for this inexpensive camera.

Hermits Rest Point

*****************************************************************

This is the last stop on the west rim view point tour.

This is where the tour buses all have to turn around and head back.

*****************************************************

Remember now, you are in a forest with wild life so always be on the look out for them.

This fellow jumped out from the side of the road and ran off into the woods before I could get my camera out.

***************************************

This is the first thing you will see as you get off the tour bus.

Let's take a walk over to that fence and take a look at the canyon from here.

********************************

That's a much view over the fence than through the fence.

OK, let's see what this Hermit's Rest is.

************************************

As I got down to the building's entrance I just could not resist this one view.

***************************

There were log benches along the canyon wall for folks to sit on and view the canyon.

************************************

***************************

As you walk in side this is the first view that you will see.

************************

*****************************

******************************

There also is a walk up snack window a little farther down the walkway.

***********************************

Well, I guess we had better head back up the path because it is getting late and I don't want to miss the sun set.

The sun sets are mostly viewed from Hopi Point, however you choose your own view point.

***********************************

One last look before we leave Hermits Rest.

**************************************

Well, I guess that's about it. The Windshield Points is the only one left.

Desert View point - Navajo point - Lipan point - Tusayan Ruin & Museum - Moran point - Grandview point
Yaki point - Mather point - Yavapai point - Maracopa point - Powell point - Hopi point - Mohave point
