A truly black day for this photographer and the No Where Desert Arizona project.
On Sunday June 09 2002 a Micro burst of wind swept through the area destroying all in its path.
later on in the day; I have just learned that it was what's called a desert tornado.
Picking me the cameras and all else up that was there and sending all across the desert at breakneck speed.
I was deposited some 100 feet plus from where I was sitting photographing the birds. All of my equipment was blown away also. The one camera I did find had been ripped off the 500 mm lens it was on. Hopefully it will be repairable other wise that's $4000.00 down the tubes. I and some friends shall go back out there on 06/10/02 to try to find the rest of the things that got blown away and also try to reset up the site.
For now; out of business on the desert.
