IN NO WHERE DESERT ARIZONA

Up-date as of 06/15/02

Yes, this truly is a new DAWNING for the project.

Have found, repaired, replaced almost every thing that got blown away a week ago.

Upon returning to the site on Saturday 6/15/02 to reconstruct it, I didn't know weather to shed a tear or smile.

The sad part of it was; it was a mess.

Why smile?
Here's why.
Many birds & squirrels where just meandering around the site as if to say,
WHAT HAPPENED?
THERE'S NO MORE FOOD OR WATER ANY MORE.

It really was a sad, but yet, humorous sight.

This time I Dove proofed the seed feeder trays.

White "X" indicates a 4 inch square opening. Red "X" indicates a 2 inch opening.

At first I did not have the 4 inch openings cut in.
After finding out the Doves did not go through the 2 inch openings
I made a few 4 inch openings and the Doves did not go through those either.

The 4 inch openings enticed the Orioles to enter.

Originally the wire had 1 inch by 2 inch openings in it.
I had to cut the openings to a larger size. (OH pain in hand after)

Gee; what a fellow will go through just to keep those Doves out of his seed feeder trays.

I had to go to a seed & feed store where they built bird cages in order to find this wire.

If you live in the Phoenix area It can be bought at Pratt's Feed Store in
Glendale, AZ. It about 5000 West Glendale Avenue. Ask for Dave.
