MUD HAPPENS

I don't care if you go there and sit in my blind and watch the wild life.
In fact, if you do, please take some bird seed and dump it the bird seed can,
every little bits helps. Please don't do as someone has and dump it out behind the blind.

Early morning is best because the sun is at your back, about 2 PM you will not
want to be there as the sun will then be in your face.

If you want driving instructions please contact me via
E-mail Earle Robinson at birdfoto2@aol.com or birdfoto@globalcrossing.net

The site is about 7 miles northwest of Aguila, Arizona. Make sure you reclose all of the gates.

There is no drinking water on the site, the water there is for the birds & not for human consumption unless you want a really bad case of the diarrhea, & I mean really bad.

No Birds But Much

MUD

********************************************

I really like the way the all knowing and intelligent road mainters operate.

In the low spots they put dirt. As long as it does not rain it's OK.

But, when it rains, which it does in the winter in Arizona, the dirt filled place becomes one giant MUD HOLE!!

My friend who drives a 4 wheel drive vehicle warned me about the mud hole a few days before I made the trip
so I drove my 1 ton truck to the desert site. As you will shortly see I am sure glad I did.

************************

WOW, is this ever a mud hole!!

I think I had better back up a ways and make a run for it.

**********************************

WOW; what a JOLT and I am only half way through.

*********************************

If the windshield looks like this what do you think the rest of the truck looks like??

Now that's what I call a mud-blast. What do you think my little 83 Ford would have looked like it I had been driving it.
Actually it would probably still be in the mud hole.

Mean while at the site.

A few weeks ago I planted a few nice rocks in hopes they would grow me a nice rock garden, and so they did.
Now all I have to do is start spreading them around where ever I want them to be.

I sure hope they stop growing.

Oh, in the back ground you can see the new feeder I have just installed.
Also note that I keep a dozen oranges on the tray feeder in the back ground.

The black can type holder on the left is where I keep the rabbit pellets.
50 pounds a week is only a drop in the buck to what they can eat.

I am going to have to evict the RAT. It's bringing to much crap to the site.
Next week I will take my CAT to the desert site, maybe if I don't feed it for a few days it catch and eat that RAT.

I may have to buy a RAT trap as a back-up system.

*************************************************

The Gila Woodpeckers were the only birds today so I worked on my blind most of the day plus installing that new feeder.

Sooner or later those birds will stop by, I hope???

PS: On the way home I tried to get a photo of the moon coming up over the mountains.
I haven't quite mastered that technique as of yet.

I call this Moon Rise Over
NO WHERE ARIZONA.

It's very possible I have this image up-side-down, what'ya think??

I aint no Ansel Adams that's 4 sure.

**************************************

This one's a little better, very little that is.
