Arizona Wild Bird Photos

IN NO WHERE DESERT ARIZONA

T'was the afternoon before Christmas in "No Where Desert Arizona" and I had just finished the rock garden
for all of my wild life friends. No sooner had I finished when one by one they started to show up.

Nine photos on this page.

I had set them a table fit for a king, with seeds and oranges, and almost everything.

In they all flew as I gave a shout, come and get it, that's what this is all about.
Now I know you can't see them so I will point them out .

Just for the fun of it why not try to see if you see any birds in the above image.

Here's some help, there are 6 birds in the photo.

No. 1, 3, 4, & 5 are Black-throated Sparrows. No. 2 & 6 are Sage Sparrows.

**************************************************

Harry & Larry the Black-throat sparrow twins are in the center. #1&2.
I think #3 is a cousin, & #4 is another Sage Sparrow.
They have been with me since the beginning.
They almost seem like family at this point.

What you don't see is about 50 pounds of bird seed scattered among the rocks.
I think the harder it is to find the better they like it.

Here's a closer look at Harry, I don't know where his brother Larry is.

***************************************

I do believe I see a Chipping Sparrow or maybe a young White-crowned?

******************************************

Well, it looks as though Mr. Curve-billed has found a morsel or two.

***********************************

Thanks Earle for all of the nice Christmas seeds you have put out for birds.

**********************************

There's nothing like fresh orange juice to keep a bird in good spirits.

***********************************************

I have saved the best for last.
While sitting behind my camouflage netting blind
a most beautiful bird flew in to partake of the Christmas seed feed.

HEY - We're talking December 24, now just where did you come from you pretty little creature?

In fact it lit so close to me my camera would not quite focus on it, that's why it is not a sharp photo.

I know you know what it is, but just in case you don't--

are you sure you don't know?

Ah, come on, take a guess.
