Maps & ranges not to any scale nor are they absolute.

This Fox Sparrow was in with the darker one that I called a Sooty Fox Sparrow.

I won't even attempt to be smart enough to be able to distinguish between these Fox Sparrows. I am just going to put them on and let you figure out which is which. The book shows 4 different Fox Sparrows. I would say the ones I have photographed are the Sooty and possible Slate-colored and just maybe the Red Fox Sparrow. The book also shows that Arizona is in their migration path. In Arizona a Red would be very rare.

I didn't see the bee when I took the photo, nor was the bird about to fly away, I don't think
When you expose as much film as I do,many times you get an unusual or humorous image.
I stuck in here because I thought it was amusing.

Looks like the Sparrow is having a bad hair/feather day.
I don't know why its feathers are like that. The last morning I was photographing them this bird showed up.

I am going to make a trip to Patagonia, Arizona to see if I can photograph a Fox Sparrow there.
If I do I will put it on here.

OK; I got it, & it's a RED FOX SPARROW
