If you look at their tail while they are flying it looks a boat rudder.

Eats almost any thing it can find or kill.

Most of the time you will see this bird as all black.
When the sun is on it it has a purplish gloss.

Note how the bill is pointing upwards. Many times they will do this as a territorial sign.
