While trying to get photos of the Lapland Longspur these Pronghorn came walking directly through where I was.
The sun being behind them made photography difficult

As you can see below this a deer like animal and is able to run very fast.
Some have been clocked at over 70 miles per hour and 30 miles an hour taking 20 foot bounds is an easy cruising speed for them.
Note that their eyes are protruding so they can detect movement up to four miles away.

As a matter of fact they do eat cactus in the winter when food is scarce.
