Cereus aethiops
Mature plants form stately clumps of tall slender blue-green stems studded with distinctive black spines. Once the stem is 3 to 4 feet tall it blooms several times at night in the summer producing funnel shaped blooms of pink, white or green. The round or oval edible fruits are green, red or purple. Originaly from Eastern South America.
