Northern Saw-whet Owl
I can't find out if it migrates to the northern range in the summer
and the southern range in the winter. So, we'll just say these are
the ranges it could be found in.
It is approx. 8 inches high or tall. Wing span approx. 17 to 18 inches.
Weight approx. 80 Grams or about two & three-quarter pounds.
The Owl in the photographs here was photographed in Scottsdale/Cave Creek, Arizona
in the back yard of a local resident on about March 13/14 2003 late afternoon.
