As soon as it leaves I will take a quick peek inside the nest.

The next day one more egg.

A few weeks later

Looks like only 2 eggs hatched.

I would guess these chicks are a few days old.

If you look close you can see a green tint to their skin.

#1 a yellow foot - #2 a yellow foot - #3 green skin.
Also the wing tip if you look close it to is or has green skin.

The books say that a Snowy Egret chick must have yellow feet and green skin.

Well this is proof positive that I have found and photographed a Snowy Egret chick.
