BEFORE WE REALLY GET INTO THE CARDINAL PROGRAM,
LET'S LOOK AT A FEW PHOTOS OF, FIRST THE MALE, AND THEN THE FEMALE.

******************************************************

It looks as if someone has framed the Cardinal's mouth.
When photographing birds, I like to photograph them from as many angles as I can.

************************************************

It doesn't bother me in the least to photograph a bird at, or on a feeder.
In fact, many times, I will put out feed or feeders to attract the
birds, especially if I am going to be in one place for a few days or longer.
Peanut butter is a favorite of many birds.

What a beautiful bird.

Stick with us now, we will eventually get to the Cardinals feeding their young.
But first let's look at the female Cardinal.
So many get the female mixed up with other birds here in Arizona.
Many times I will here folks say; Oh look there's a female Cardinal,
and in reality they are looking at a Pyrrhuloxia.
There have been records of the two interbreeding in the wild.
