Bobolink

Bird is approx. 7 to 8 inches long. Back of neck is a buff color.
I found this bird extremely difficult to get close enough to get a good photo.
They mostly are found in open fields and can see you coming for quite a distance and fly if you try to approach them to get a photograph

Just as I snapped the shutter it flew. And laned on a stick closer to me, what luck.

Oh, it knows I am not to far away & is ready to fly at a moments notice.

I have turned my camera to a mode called silent shutter in hopes it won't scare it away.

Well, so much for a silent shutter, it flew as soon as I took the photo.
