Driving the Highways & Byways
of Arizona with Earle Robinson as he searches for Arizona Wild Life

I just can't seem to stay away from the Grand Canyon.
I can remember the 1965 Robert Wise's song and movie
"The Sound of Music"
So I have decided to call this trip to the Grand Canyon
THE SOUNDS OF NUTCRACKERS

Well. that was quite interesting plus a break from photographing.
Not every day was a perfect sunny day while I was there.

Into each vacation a little rain must fall.
A day or 2 out of 15 isn't to bad, and besides they really need the rain.
Let's see what the canyon looks like in the rain.

Later on that evening I drove out to Hopi point to view the Sun Set. It's a great view point to do just that.

**************************

Behind me it was still raining and I turned to look and this is what I saw; a beautiful rainbow.

************************************************

There actually are 2 rainbows but it's hard to see the second one in these photos.

Always remember when driving on the roads wet or dry be on the look out for animals that may jump out in front of your car.
*********************************

Many times you won't see them until it's to late. At 30 MPH you can normally stop in time.
******************************

**************************

You see, it's note even interest in me or my van. They are so use to cars, trucks, vans they a lot of times don't even look up. They may also try to approach your vehicle to get a hand out which is a NO-NO in the park.
*****************************

This one ran across the road right in front of my van, inasmuch as I had to stop I took its picture.
