The Two (2) MOST IMPORTANT SIGNS YOU NEED TO READ WHILE AT THE

GRAND CANYON ARE:

A park Ranger told me that appox. 3 people a year fall over the rim or edge.

AND

Remember, the animal can not distinguish between your fingers and the food you are holding,
more than a 1000 bites are treated each year at the canyon.

While looking for canyon views to photograph I was not paying any attention to what was going on else where at this point.

However; I came across some do enter yellow police tape across the rim walk stopping me from going any farther along the rim.

I figured they were doing some repair work on the walkway so I proceeded to walk out to the road and them I saw many emergency units, park ranger trucks, & police cars.
