***********************************************
The day I went there it was 110 in the shade, that is if you could find shade.
**************************************
A nice to visit, paved path ways every where. Wheel chairs & motorized scooters to rent.
Most all of the plant life is signed,
many drinking water fountains almost every where you look,
************************************
Many restrooms!
*****************************************
Also a very nice cafe
****************************************
Upon entering
your first view
This is what most of the pathways look like.
****************************************
There are also many of these pull outs to sit and rest in or just take in the many views.
****************************************
As I was taking this photo I noticed a Lizard getting ready to cross the gravel so I waited to see if I could get a photo to show you.
Now these lizards are very fast so if you plan to get a photo on one you had better be ready with your camera.
I almost didn't see it.
***************************************************
This may be a Desert Spiny I don't know the lizards very well.
It sure is a very nice looking Lizard.
***********************************
It's gone in a blink.
************************************************
There are many vistas to view while in the park.
Not a paved path but but my motor chair ran good on it.
*******************************
**************************************
A bridge over one of the many washes.
*****************************************
Of course there will be many chances to view cactus close up.
********************************************
There are many signs like this with much information on them.
******************************
OK, maybe well see a few cacti now.
*********************************************
******************************************
*********************************************
**********************************************
There are more than likely thousands of plant/cactus growing for your viewing enjoyment
**************************************
This one looks like a green snake all coiled up.
***************************************
Some are a few inches high others are over 20 feet tall.
******************************************
Always keep an eye on the tops of the cactus you never know just what's going to be perched up there.
A White wing Dove
********************************************************
You see they eat the spent blooms. They are like a sweet desert.
*******************************
*********************************************
I think this cactus wren is unhappy I was trying to get a photo of it.
************************************
Even this cute Gambles Quail tried elude my camera.
*****************************
