IT'S 2-TO-TOO
IN ARIZONA
and it's only May 31 2007
It's hard to judge HOT, but, after 10 to 15 minutes walking in the sun and I feel like I'm on fire, I say that's HOT.
I'M GONNA HEAD UP THOSE OLE MOUNTAINS TO WARDS THE GRAND CANYON
The ole van truly does not like the 200 mile trip all up hill to the canyon.
If'n I don't watch my speed I won't be able to a ford it. ($4.00 a gal.)
This old 460 fuely engine will go about as fast as I want but the gas milage isn't
anything to write home about if'n ya know what I mean.
It's a good thing I can carry 52 gallons of fuel which I buy at the cheapest$$ gas I can find which is generly Costco.
********************
OK let's get on our way before we melt.
About 20 miles south of the canyon.
Looking through my windshield, what a sight. It ain't gonna be hot up here.
I think I shall head in to my favorite photo spot.
OH, this is just a perfect spot to park for the night, dont'cha think?
The old thermo meter on the windshield says it's 29 degrees outside.
*****************************************
A good night's sleep, hot coffee, bacon, bisques & gravey & an egg or2 will hit spot in the morning.
I can keep the van 70 degrees very easily.
*********************************************
Looking out through my windshield the next morn.
I better walk over and take a closer look at tis stuff
**************************************************
Yep it really is snow.
**************************************************
It's about 9 AM and the temp has moved up to 39 degrees.
I had thought about hiking a bit, but changed my mind after looking at this.
***********************************************
I'll head on over to my favorite place BOGGY TANK.
In Arizona we have several types of hunters.
Deer hunters-Elk huntrs-Big Horn hunters.
BUT MOST OF ALL WE HAVE
SIGN HUNTERS
Signs don't move, no licenses required to hunt them, and you don't have clean them and haul them out :-)))
*********************************************************
Well, I can see Iwill have to wait a bit for any birds to show.
**************************************
I'll just park under this tall pine and wait a spell.
Looks like he 4-wheelers have playing catch me if you can around the water.
I think I see a small bird across the pond.
************************************************
Well, what do we have here. Looks like a dark eyed JUNCO.
**********************************
And then came the crossbills
I'm only guessing but I think this is the male.-----------------------------------------------And this must be a juvenile bird

********************************************.
Last but not least a Common Raven
