Arizona Desert Whiptail

Western Wiptail
Cnemidopborus tigris

Likes open spaces with not much vegetation so running in easy.
Digs burrows for finding prey and for safety.
Will stock most any thing small and moving. Eats insects. This one just went after a very small dead leaf that was flitting alone the ground.
That doesn't say much for their eye sight.

***********************************************

Is this a W/wiptail Lizard?

Or is this another one of those X-some things?

I have been told that the black indicates it's an Arizona/New Mexico variety

****************************

I have been told that thisd is a "Marbled Wiptail".
