November 13th 2005 at the Gilbert Arizona Water Ranch
I just happen to be scanning the shore line when I found this little guy all hunkkered down in the mud and water.
I have never seen them do this in the past.
I was about 50 feet from the bird and did not want to spook it into flying
away so hand holding my 400 VR lens I clicked of a couple of shots.
The sun was almost behind the bird so I had to over wxpose and that's why the images are not the best.

As it flew off a birder told me it was a Wilson's Snipe, he said he saw the white trailing edge of the wing which I did not.
